BIOGRAPHY
Coach Jon Collins is entering his first season as a member of the Fulton baseball staff and his 12th season overall as a baseball coach at the middle or high school level.

Coach Collins began his coaching career in 2008 by serving as an assistant at the high school varsity level under Coach McNish at Lenoir City High School. In 2012, he joined Coach McNish at West High School, and in 2025 he joined Coach McNish’s staff at Fulton High School. In his 8 previous seasons as an assistant on Coach McNish’s staff he has also been the JV Head Coach for 3 of those seasons, and he will handle the JV Head Coach duties for our Fulton Falcons in the upcoming 2026 season.
Along with his varsity assistant coaching experience, Coach Collins also served as the Head Coach for the West middle school baseball program for 2 seasons (2019-2021) and was the Head Coach at Greenback Middle School for the 2022-2023 season.
A standout 3-sport athlete (football, baseball, and basketball) during his high school career at West Laurens High School in Dublin, GA, Coach Collins had multiple opportunities to play baseball in college- including a preferred walk-on offer at Tennessee. After graduation, he signed to play at Maryville College in Maryville, TN where he played shortstop for the baseball team and majored in Biology (Pre-Med).

Coach Collins has attended Pellissippi State Community College, Maryville College, and the University of Tennessee and holds degrees in both Biology and Electrical Engineering Technology. He has been employed by Tennessee Valley Authority at the TVA Engineering Lab in Norris, TN since 2016.

Coach Collins has been married to his high school sweetheart, Angela, for 25 years. They have five children together: R.J. (22), Elizabeth & Jon David (twins-17), Caden (14), and Annabelle (10).
​
The Collins family are members of Vonore Baptist Church where Jon is the Assistant Youth Pastor, and he and Angela together help with youth group services and activities. They currently live on their small farm in the country in south Blount County outside of Maryville, TN.
