BIOGRAPHY
Coach Mayes enters his 19th overall year of coaching baseball at Fulton High School this season. He spent 16 years (1997-2012) as an Assistant Coach under Head Coaches Dave Pollard, Rob Black, and Raymond Skeen. In 2010, Fulton had one of the programs best seasons, with a record of 16-10, which was the first winning record for the Falcons since 1995. They earned a victory that year over the eventual TSSAA State Champions, Gibbs High School Eagles.
In addition to coaching baseball, Mayes was an Assistant Coach for the Lady Falcons Softball Team from 2015-2016 who finished third in the district in 2016 and had a winning record. He is also an Assistant Coach with the Fulton High Falcon Football Team (2004-Present). Coach Mayes is also the SID, and radio announcer on 91.1 WKCS for Fulton Athletics. Coach Mayes has been a part of all but one of the State Championships for Football, as they brought home the Gold Ball in 2004, 2006, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Coach Mayes is a graduate of Fulton High School (1995), and the University of Tennessee (2003). He is currently the Audio/Visual Production Teacher and WKCS Radio Station Manager at Fulton high School (2004-Present). He is Married to his wife Lauren and they have two children, Reagan (11) and Anderson (8).
